The digital media outlet 'El Diario de Teruel' has echoed our recent victory and dedicated a very extensive and interesting article to us in the form of a written interview where we answer several questions about our journey, opinions on some video game-related topics, and our overall experience at the Global Game Jam.

Here is the link to the full article: https://www.diariodeteruel.es/cultura/pablo-romero-programador-de-videojuegos-y-cofundador-de-morphin-games-los-videojuegos-son-ocio-pero-tambien-arte-expresion-y-una-herramienta-de-terapia

Many thanks to the team at El Diario de Teruel for this headline! ✊✊

Global Game Jam

This time we have a much shorter announcement for you, but we were still really excited to share it. Morphin' Games’ new project has entered the production phase, and we’re already starting to lay down the skeleton of the game after thinking about the basic mechanics. We can’t (nor do we want to 🗿) share many details about our new project, but here’s what we’re going to reveal: - It’s a video game 🗿 - It’s a horror game - It will have roguelike/roguelite elements - It’s gonna slap Stay tuned for future blogs, we’ll be giving updates on the game as it starts to take shape!

Just like the title says!

After a fierce battle among the 15 teams that signed up at the Teruel (Spain) site, the public has spoken and Lethal Soap Dispenser was the project with the highest number of votes, claiming victory. 🤩🤩🤩

Lethal Soap Dispenser joins Robo-Crack in our list of awards and recognitions, this time with a spectacular first-place medal.

And what does this mean for us? The cash prize is honestly going to help us a lot, but the best part of receiving this award will be seen in the coming months. This win has further boosted our excitement and passion for game development, and if we already had big plans for 2025, winning the Global Game Jam has given us an extra push to go all out this year.

Watch out 2025, we’re coming for you and we won’t show mercy! 😈

Global Game Jam

The Global Game Jam is over, the whole team is back home, and we've returned to our usual routines this week after an intense weekend and almost total sleep deprivation.

The event was amazing, nearly reaching the maximum number of participants (just 4+1 people short), and there was a great atmosphere among all the developers—definitely an experience worth repeating if it's held again next year.

But… what did we develop? Excellent question. We present to you our latest addition to our lineup of games: Lethal Soap Dispenser, a platformer and puzzle game with a PlayStation 1 aesthetic, where you must use your bubble launcher to solve puzzles and make the people you meet happy 🫧🫧🫧.

Lethal Soap Dispenser is one of the most ambitious games we’ve created—more so because of the 48-hour time limit than because of mechanical complexity. It’s the first time we’ve tackled a 3D project in such a short timeframe, and it’s been a total success. As usual, the whole team was aligned the entire time, we made key decisions very quickly, and the final product stayed very true to our original idea. Huge congrats to Hristian, Saúl, Irene, and Pablo for the result!

Global Game Jam

As with all our games, Lethal Soap Dispenser is available for download on our itch.io page: https://morphingames.itch.io/lethal-soap-dispenser/, for both Windows and Linux.

Go play now—the bubble revolution awaits! 🫧

The upcoming weekend from January 24th to 26th, we've signed up to participate in the Global Game Jam, a game jam that takes place all over the world at the same time.

This will be the fifth game jam we've taken part in as a team, and just like in the previous four, we're going all in to deliver a top-tier game.

We've registered at the Teruel (Spain) site, where they’ve offered us several accommodation options and made it very easy for us to attend and stay.

Once the event is over, we’ll publish a new blog post with a download link to the revised post-jam version, along with an analysis of how the development process went. See you there!
