This past weekend we attended ZGDevs (games with rasmia), a fair dedicated to the world of video game development, where several developers (including us) had the chance to showcase our projects to the general public.
Our project: Duellum
Duellum is a roguelike video game where you’ll take part in thrilling medieval jousts full of mind games and tense standoffs. Battles unfold in turns, where both you and your opponent choose one action from four options:
Attack ⚔️
Defend 🛡️
Feint 👹
Regenerate ✨
The three main actions (attack, defend, and feint) follow a rock-paper-scissors style cycle:
Attack beats Feint
Feint beats Defense
Defense beats Attack
Regeneration allows you to recover energy, which is essential to perform actions. Managing your energy wisely is key to the flow of combat and can be the deciding factor between victory and defeat.
Duellum is in active development, and we’re aiming to release a more polished version later this week. Stay tuned on our social media, we’ll share the download link there! And of course, huge thanks to everyone who came by to try out the game!
We also want to thank the organizers for all the effort they put into making this event possible. It’s been an amazing weekend, packed with enriching activities and plenty of opportunities to learn. We sincerely hope it comes back next year!
